Tent Schools International partners with Christian leaders in refugee camps, delivering schools to children fleeing war, persecution and natural disaster. We do this using two services:
The refugee crisis continues to grow, and displaced people span the globe. The United Nations estimates that there are up to 82.4 million displaced people worldwide, and just under half are children. In response, many organizations supply food, water and basic shelter, but most refugee children miss years of education.
We may not be able to solve this crisis alone, but with your help we can do something. Our response is to bring schools to challenging locations, equipping children with the skills they need for life outside the camps. We serve families regardless of beliefs or background, and prioritize projects that help children heal from trauma.
Tent Schools International is a registered 501(c)(3), non-profit organization whose support depends on voluntary gifts from supporters. We are a member of ECFA and are committed to financial integrity and good stewardship. We are also a member of the Barnabas Foundation for planned giving, and have earned a 2019 Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar.
Founded in 1987, Tent Schools International (formerly Worldwide Christian Schools) used teacher training, volunteer construction teams and school/student sponsorship programs to serve our global partners, achieving these results:
Our mission has always been to deliver education to children who are under-served, in Jesus’ name.
